What I liked

I liked that I was able to put myself in a position to become a leader. I was given a multitude of responsibilities such as managing flex drivers, other associate members, and managing outbound packages.

What I wish was different

I wish that all of the associates were held to the same standard. For the most part many of the associates were required to a lot more work than some of the other associates receiving the same amount of pay.

Advice

I would recommend coming to work with a positive attitudes, especially at this location, because you need a positive mentality to succeed in such as large group of people.

I liked that the managers tried to make the best of the work for us. They encouraged us always, and sometimes they would even come work with us if staff was short.

What I wish was different

The hours were long, I wish they were shorter even if it meant having to work 5 days instead of 4.

Advice

Amazon is a good place to work temporarily but for me, it’s not somewhere I would want to work for the rest of my life unless I had a higher standing position.

Bring umbrella and drive slow because it rains and you still deliver. It’s a nice temporary job but everyone gets hired and you are basically just a number.

It's hard work but well worth it. Know that you may be working a 3, 4, or 5 hour shift when you walk in depending on the volume of items.

What I liked

The sense of community at LGB7 and the feeling of making a difference in people’s lives was the most fulfilling part of working for Amazon. I had se really great co workers, and especially our back-half night management team. Joanna, Reggie, and Jessica were the best!

What I wish was different

I wish there was more lenience with the school accommodations. Or at least part-time positions available because I would like to continue working there while in school.

Advice

This job is for anyone, period. If you prefer more focused, independent work, this is great for you. This is also a great job if you enjoy a fast paced environment while communicating with many other people at once. Working towards a common goal felt real at LGB7
